Please! Please! PLEASE!!! Help! I really want a dog. But my parents won’t let me. for some reason. So, I was thinking me and my 10 year old friend(i am also 10) could work for the summer. I was thinking it would be a great chance for me to get close to a puppy.

Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker, by Robin Robertson is a book with a hundred or so vegetarian slow cooker recipes. The “No Hurry Veg Curry” is my favorite. I usually just cook it in my pressure cooker…so much for slow cooking!
I was watching yet another dog adoption show, this one on a black and white dog named rocky and I couldn’t believe how they acted around the dog, anyone whos seen the dog whisperer will know what I mean, the first family kept talking to him in that high pitched baby vioce which is not good for dogs! He seemed scared of them, in his head he was probably going “Now why should I listen to them, they’re not being calm-assertive.” The next family imedialty pet the dog the second they daw him, another no-no, whereever that dog goes he’s going to wind up ruling the house, I hate stuff like that. I think Cesar Millan should host the dog adoption shows.
i work for a makeup company and they claim that our makeup brushes are made with cruelty free animal hair. I was just wondering if anyone knows how what cruelty free means, in this case.
Here are a couple of recipes I found for you. They both sound pretty good. Enjoy!

2 C chopped, peeled, fresh, ripe tomatoes (about 1 lb)
2 C thinly sliced yellow and green squash (about 1 lb)

2/3 C water
2 Tbsp minced fresh parsley
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp salt

1 lb uncooked spaghetti
1/2 C grated parmesan cheese

Cook spaghetti in unsalted water according to package directions.
Spoon sauce over drained hot spaghetti and sprinkle parmesan cheese over top.
Vegetarian Bolognase
16 ounces whole-wheat spaghetti
1 tablespoon oil
4 garlic cloves, crushed
3 onions, diced
1 red pepper, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
4 baby carrots, grated
3 cups mushrooms, chopped
8 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 cups cooked brown lentils
1 teaspoon tamari (see Notes)
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano or 2 teaspoons fresh oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil or 2 teaspoons fresh basil
1 cup tofu, cubed
1 teaspoon extra tamari (see Notes) or 1/2 teaspoon vegetable salt
2 teaspoons oil
3/4 cup almonds, chopped
Cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling water until tender, 10-15 minutes.
Heat the oil in a large non-stick pan and add the garlic and onions and sauté, stirring, for 3-4 minutes; add the red and green pepper, mushrooms and carrot and sauté for a further 3-4 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, brown lentils, tamari, parsley and herbs and cook for 5 minutes until well heated.
Sprinkle a little tamari on the tofu squares and heat the extra 2 teaspoons of oil in a separate (preferably non-stick) pan and lightly sauté the tofu squares until they are lightly coloured on each side.
Drain the spaghetti and distribute it between 6 serving plates.
Pour the lentil sauce over the spaghetti, scatter the tofu on top and sprinkle with the chopped almonds.
Serve with a salad or steamed vegetables.
Try this:
1 pk Egg roll wrappers
Sesame oil
1 c Celery, finely chopped
1 Onion, small, finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 c Cabbage, finely shredded
1 c Mushroom, finely chopped
1 Green pepper, finely chopped
1/2 c Water chestnuts, finely chop
1 c Sprouts, bean or seed, fresh
1/4 c Soybeans, dry cooked and
-pureed
3 tb Soy sauce
2 1/2 c Brown rice, cooked
These egg rolls make an excellent first course, or
when eaten right with the cooked rice, a whole meal.
Just be sure, if you eat them without rice, that you
include rice in the meal to complement the soybeans.
In a wok or frying pan saute the vegetables in sesame
oil in the order given. After the onion has started
sauteing, add the remaining vegetables quickly so that
the total time with the heat on is about 5 minutes. As
soon as you add the bean sprouts to the pan, turn off
the heat.
Stir the pureed soybeans and soy sauce together. Then
stir this mixture into the vegetables.
The whole mixture may be chilled several hours, or
used warm. To prepare the rolls: place about 1/4 cup
filling in the center of each pancake or egg roll
wrapper; fold the corners over envelope-style and seal
with a flour-water paste.
Heat a large frying pan with oil in the bottom. Fry
the rolls until they are crisp and brown, turning only
once. You may deep fry the rolls if you are into deep
frying, but they are better cooked only in a little
oil. Drain on paper bags or towels.
Keep the rolls hot in a 250~ oven up to an hour. Or
reheat them at 450~ for about 10 minutes.
Serve 2 egg rolls with about 1 cup of cooked rice and
any of the following: mustard, horseradish, soy sauce,
sweet and sour sauce, or hot sauce.
